The most determining factor is you and if you believe you can move forward, particularly when it gets hard. With your determination to move forward from repetitive thinking you then start working with the thoughts themselves and bring yourself to go outside of the box by understanding the box of those thoughts. As you gain an in-depth awareness of why you're thinking what you're thinking repeatedly, you also acknowledge the feelings and work through those (with your heart, love, and mind, thoughts) to go beyond your initial "box".
