Everyone has an array of traditions that they hold near and dear to their heart. There’s family, heritage, cultural beliefs, and so much more. It’s something that is connected in our roots as an individual with an identity, to a human on the planet. This is why there’s so much heart, and so much ego involved in any one person’s traditional make-up if you will. It’s called being human and having grown up with certain beliefs and customs, everything that was part of your upbringing and that you then added onto later on, as you got older. This is why both heart and ego are involved in tradition, but tradition from the heart respects all others and their traditions, creates diversity unified, differences respected, and the possibility to grow from within for those who also pursue inner growth as they choose heart over ego response to situations where traditions are involved.

With a choice to lead from heart when it comes to tradition and not ego, you take a first step into that amazing journey that allows you to grow from within and open your mind and heart to more. You learn to unconditionally love your traditions, take ownership of them from within, and use ego as something that assists you to spot that next area you can grow more self-love in and love towards others, as well as seek out new knowledge and information to learn something new regarding the tradition(s) at hand. Through inner growth, alongside tradition from the heart, you pursue the infinite potential of you as a human who lives with other humans and chooses to let the rainbow of colors that give us our unique spark unite us, not divide us, make us a beautiful mosaic of colors that we can learn from and respect, not compete or fight with. As you grow you learn to appreciate what is yours as a tradition in the moment, and let others do the same. It’s most amazing when tradition can be experienced from the heart for all, for self, for the world.
